Special Needs Nanny

The Elite Nanny Team is recruiting a full-time nanny for a special needs child. We are seeking a hands-on, engaging nanny who loves teaching and guiding children. We want someone who will make every moment a learning opportunity, from looking at the green, yellow, and orange leaves on the trees during their walks to grasping their utensil properly aiding in nutrition.

A family of four already has one full-time nanny who helps with housekeeping and caring for the older child. The second full-time nanny will work as a teammate while specializing their attention towards the family’s younger special needs child.

The little boy has developmental delay, broken speech, and uncoordinated movement. Mom and dad work very hard and want to give their baby boy the best start in life possible.
This means hands-on, one-on-one physical and occupational therapy from a licensed, or unlicensed PT or OT technician.

If you love actively achieving milestones and development goals this is the job for you! The family does not have grand expectations their son will be cured. But they want a household employee who motivates and believe in their child’s abilities.

Part of your duties will include:
- Transport the child to occupational, feeding, and psychical therapy.
- Reinforce physical, occupational, and physical therapy activities at home, thorough the day.
- Promote language skills
- Build strength in legs, arms, core, and jaw – while promoting coordination.
- Encourage fun and laughter, driving the child to want to continue to improve.
- Integrate normalized developmental skills.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging attitude toward the child.
- Communicate as a teammate with his or her nanny-coworkers.

The full-time therapist nanny will be scheduling Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The family is paying $26-$32 an hour for your expertise and loyalty.

Employment Requirements:
- You must be a valid U.S. citizen or have a Visa authorizing you to work in the United States.
- You must have a driver’s license, and your motor vehicle record needs to be clear of incidents for the last 5 years.
- You must currently reside within 15 miles of McLean, Virginia.
- You need at last 3 years of private nanny experience.
- You must have at least 2 years of Occupational Therapy (OT) or Physical Therapy (PT) training or work experience.
- You should have a college or university degree from a two (2) or four (4) year college.
- You must own a vehicle that can safely fit two car seats (in case of emergency).
- Your energy level needs to support consistently engaging a young toddler.
