Part-Time, Temporary Infant Specialist
We seek a part-time, temporary infant specialist nanny near Orono, MN. The family consists of a toddler who will spend some time at daycare and an infant who is home full-time. This nanny job encompasses the role of a mother’s helper - someone who can work alongside mom as a teammate and friend. The infant’s mother is laid back, easygoing, and trusting. Originally from Minnesota, mom spends most of the time supporting the husband’s career.
Orono Part-Time Nanny Job
The family is seeking part-time childcare on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from mid-May until late September. Please see the childcare schedule below for the exact hours.
We are looking for a part-time nanny who is experienced with newborns. You will primarily be caring for the infant. Following the established schedule, you will support mom by changing diapers, creating enrichment activities, reading to the children, and putting them down for naps. Your day will be filled with fun and frolic, minimizing the use of electronics.
Maple Grove Childcare Job
The toddler will be attending daycare beginning in the middle of June; however, the mom may need assistance getting Lo ready in the morning and transporting Lo to school. The parents ask that you support the toddler in completing small chores, such as picking up toys. Laughter and fun are paramount for this family! Positive reinforcement techniques are encouraged.
Please have at least one COVID vaccine and a clean driving record. It is essential you are available for the exact schedule needed and that you don’t have any vacations scheduled during the temporary nanny job.

Orono Nanny Characteristics
You have the legal right to work in the United States.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of paid childcare experience at a daycare, childcare center, elementary school, or nanny setting.
Experience working with infants and toddlers as a nanny or mother’s helper.
CPR and First Aid Certifications (or availability for training if hired)
Some Early Childhood Education Coursework, CDA, or similar work experience, such as in daycare (not required).
SIDS Certified (or willing to be certified at no cost to yourself).
Ideal candidates are outgoing and have a teammate mindset.
Skills Needed for Childcare Candidates
Knowledge of infant age-appropriate developmental activities.
Proven work history as a nanny or a professional babysitter.
Please be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
Strong work experience working with Dr. Brown's bottles, sanitizing toys, managing GERD, sleep training, and encouraging tummy time.
Natural ability to take initiative, with or without supervision.
You are okay with big dogs.
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 an hour, depending on experience
